Employee engagement is crucial for the success of the agency. It’s not about the result being “good” or “bad”. It’s about having the conversation to see how we can better engage our employees and what tools the agency can provide to improving engagement. We will discuss the four drivers of engagement: work-life balance, recognition and praise, trust and confidence  in leadership, and growth and development.

Our Speaker:

Lisa Hylton is a performance management strategist in Workforce Solutions for the Chief Human Resource Office of DAS. Her passion is helping others develop and maintain an engaged workforce. Since she was hired in December of 2013, she has helped divisions and programs create employee engagement action plans with measurable action items to track progress and gain feedback on what’s working and what needs improvement. Her methodology has proved effective in state government and she has been instrumental in helping managers and leaders increase engagement with their staff. Lisa formed the Enterprise Employee Engagement (E-3) committee to share best practices and bring subject matter experts together to discuss employee engagement in the state. Lisa also facilitates the Gallup Strengthfinders© assessment with teams throughout agencies in state government and leads employees on 21-Day challenges that are designed to increase happiness, engagement and overall well-being.
